This isnt anything new. There have been a decent amount of photos of the "cool guy" types wearing multicam in A-stan. Whether its a private purchase that was authorised for wear or unit purchase, I dont know.

That guy is either a TACP or a Combat Controller, I have been out for about two years but we were being issued non standard uniforms for use only in theater then. I have not been issued anything in that pattern though. The new USAF uniform screams shoot me.
