Seems appropriate to be discussing ComBloc pistols on May Day....
Lots of "boom", but not as much recoil. The Tokarev is nicer than the Cz52 re recoil.
Milsurp 7.62x25 is super cheap (& actually available!!!). Even new made Wolf Gold & S&B isn't bad price wise. Surplus is corrosive so clean accordingly.
Shoots flat, mucho penetration with fmj (IIRC 60" + in gel tests, punchs thru kevlar helmets that'll stop hot .357 mags).
The retro fitted safeties on most Tokarevs blow. They work but are simply a bodge for importation.
Really wacks the snot out of the primer, full length firing pin so no loaded chamber/hammer down carry. 1/2 cock or conditon 3 only unless you
really trust the import safety.
More or less a ComBloc copy of Browning designs, if you've ever played with a 1911 a Tokarev will be fairly familiar.
Grip doesn't feel as stumpy as it looks
I have a Romanian, & will most likely add a few more to the collection as $$$ permits. I
really want to buy one of the Yugo M57s that have been imported recently before they're all gone.
What kind are you looking at ordering?
