There has been a real renaissance of good zombie movies recently. I think maybe 28 Days Later started it. That one rocked.
I liked Shaun Of The Dead, too––no reason that zombie movies have to be all serious and realistic, you know? What is your favorite zombie movie? |

Omega Man. I loved it the first time they showed it on "Science Fiction Theatre" back in the '70s.
|
|
The original "Dawn of the Dead".
The 2004 remake was fucking ridiculous. |
|
The original Night of the Living Dead is my favorite because when I first saw it, I was eight and it scared the shit outta me. Dawn of the Dead 2004 is a close second.

The gold standard for horror films and to this day one of the greatest movie endings of all time. |
|
I like the Resident Evil trilogy. Mostly because of Mlla Jovovich.

Resident Evil
the first one. followed by the original Night of the Living Dead, -in b/w ("Zombie Chicks in Chopper Town" was pretty good too. ) |

Quoted: I like the Resident Evil trilogy. Mostly because of Mlla Jovovich. I can't wait for number four! I really hated 28 days later. |

Resident Evil series
I remember when the first game came out and you could win a chance to be in the movie. |
|
1. "Dawn of the Dead" 2004 Remake.
2. "28-Weeks Later" (I'm Counting It). 3.Resident Evil Apocalypse 4. Resident Evil 5. 28 Days Later They're great movies when done right, but horrible when not done correctly. Very hit or miss. Not a lot of so/so Zombie movies either they're great or they leave going WTF? |

Not very well known but everyone MUST check out "fido"
|

DotD. as far as recent ones, Quarantine really tied in the legitimacy of a real zombie virus as a rabies strain. that shit is real dawg.

Also liked 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. The first was better than the second though. |

Also liked 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later. The first was better than the second though. On January 29 2009, Arrow in the Head News reported that Anderson is nearly finished with the script for Resident Evil 4 and is currently on draft two. The article claims that Anderson is writing but will not direct. The story is more in tune with Resident Evil 2 in terms of style but with better dialogue and a darker tone. There's enough hand to hand combat in the script for the producers to bring in a martial arts choreographer. The story reportedly takes place in Tokyo and Alaska, with Toronto standing in for Alaska. Patrick Tatopoulos will return to be in charge of the creature effects while Michael Lantieri will be the new Special FX supervisor for the practical effects. Casting will start before any more changes are made to the script and they plan on securing a director once Milla Jovovich officially signs on. Nothing official yet, but they are working on it! |

Original NOTD, DOTD and DayOTD.
Remake of Night of the Living Dead ( 1990 ) Shaun of the Dead 28 Days Later |

Army of Darkness. Properly speaking, that was more of an action/horror film. Eh, kind of a comedy, too. |

Army of Darkness. Properly speaking, that was more of an action/horror film. Eh, kind of a comedy, too. It's more of a zombie film than 28 Days Later or other such modern works... In AoD there were true zombies... Reanimated corpses rising from the grave. 28 Day Later, I Am Legend and such aren't zombies at all, but rather just mutated humans. They're more like "what happens when you drink the green power plant water" films than zombie films. Also AoD has ties to the old Nordic beliefs . |

Return of the Living Dead, punks vs zombies. It rocks. ROTLD2 sucks bigtime. ROTLD3 features a young Mindy/Melinda Clark as the hottest dead chick ever.
|
|
Day of the Dead 04, Shaun of the Dead, Land of the Dead, original Day of the Dead.
|
|
That one.... with the zombies. Oh yeah and the brains. There were people running in it too, away from the zombies.

Dawn of the Dead (original)
Night of the Living Dead Children Shouldn't Play WIth Dead Things (cheesy but I like it) |
|
Quoted: DotD '79 This, the original Dawn is one of the best zombie movies. |

What movie had the drums of toxic waste fall from the truck and end up opening and bringing the dead back to life? Night of the Living Dead––Remake? Late 80's? I can't remember but loved it!
And I'm gonna add [red][Zombie Strippers/red] to the list, super cheesy, funny sheet! |
