Ok, this last Christmas I went to visit my mother and these things have been sitting in my parents basement for the last 25 years or longer.  The Star wars figures are all originals from the first runs.  The transformers are all complete with pieces and weapons.  The Batman toys are all still in the boxs and wrappers (was too old for toys by the time that movie rolled around).

Any idea what these are worth, if anything?

I figured maybe I could trade these for some "big boy toys"...

The ones still in packages will be worth more, but no idea on $$$ worth.

By the way, did anyone catch that TRON figure?

Man that movie was so "high tech" when it came out!!!!

I thought it was so freakin cool back then!!!!

Could potentially get a few hundred. Best way to check is to look up the individual figures on eBay or other equivelant and see what they are going for in similar packaged or unpackaged conditions.

The Star Wars toys, not so much, since they're out of package.

The Transformers... complete with accessories... some good coin.

Leo6223 try this site.  It may help.

I've been to the event twice and have seen collectors and vendors for the figures you have shown.  Sorry I do not have any idea how much they would fetch though.  It's a full blown "geekfest" but damn the women who wears the skimpy costumes .

When I felt I was too old to play with toys (about 12), my Star Wars figs (Over 100 original Kenner) and my G.I. Joe figs (Almost 100 originals )
Had an all-day epic battle invilving a plastic swimming pool, the creek, the woods, the balcony, gasoline, fircrackers, a BB gun and a lawnmower.

None survived.

I'd say $100 for all of the Transformers.  I'd be happy to take Dirge and the constructicons off of you.

I used to be quite the Star Wars toy collector. Loose figures without the accessories are worth quite a lot less than what they would be in the original packaging. You've got about $30 on the Star Wars figures alone.

The original Transformers Optimus Prime would probably get around $50-$70.

The carded Batman figures $10-$15.

I miss my toys...

Original Transformers? Wow, potentially good to great profit on those. Especially since both Optimus and the Constructicons are in the new movie coming up. Are the constructicons complete (Good god I'm a dork )? Can Devastator be formed from them? They look in great condition, don't let them go till you get a solid offer.

The rest of the stuff is eh. Batman is probably a few bucks. The loose Star Wars aren't really worth much. Unless of course Boba Fett's missile actually is removable from his jet pack (don't force it. it either does or doesn't), then you would be VERY fortunate...

Ok geek mode off.

Transformers were probably the coolest toys ever.

I remember how much I loved the dinobot series, mainly because I was a science nerd kid growing up.

I have two boxes of GI Joe, transformers, and HeMan.   Out in my shed right now.  They are in horrible condition.  My parents saved them for the past 25 years.

I am about to take them to the dump.

I would probably be rich if it weren't for my RWS pellet gun.

Just toss them on Egay and let the market speak for itself.

I'll trade you two small rifle primers for the lot

As far as value to a collector, it's not likely to be much unless it's still in the packaging and looks like it's still on the shelf at the store. Keep an eye on eBay and see what they go for, not sure where else to head for that sort of stuff although I'm sure there's a forum almost as big as this one for that stuff SOMEWHERE

Otherwise stick it on a shelf to show off, or give it to a kid to play with. Just a cheap lump of plastic.

TFU.info is a great source to see what parts you have or don't have.  Complete with all accessories and all 6 bots would be worth around the $100 range give or take a few $$$'s.  Loose they'd be worth $5-$10 a piece.  Thrust (the plane) looks pretty much complete and he's worth in the $35-$55 range.  Slag (the tricerotops) is incomplete from what i've seen there and he'll be worth around $15-$25.  All of these prices are based on the current ebay values.  Generally speaking they spiked around the time of the last movie by 10%-15%.  Private party not going through ebay would be worth a few $$$s less i'd say.  Prime looks like he's in decent shape but incomplete.  He's worth between $30-$70.  Cliffjumper would be worth $3-$10. All of these prices are likely subjective due to chrome/paint wear, looseness of the joints, and so on and so forth.  Hope all of that helps!

Just eBay it.  Have a super descriptive title based on what similar items are selling for, and turn them into $$$, or ammo - why if you go to cheaper than dirt, you could get at least 12, maybe 13 rounds of M855 with the $400 you make off this stuff!

It seems that most of the collectible stuff has gone down in value since ebay got so popular years ago.  If you went to an antique store you could pay about $100-$250 for a 12 inch figure.  Now everyone is competing on ebay, plus you have international competitors.  The same figure may sell for $30-$60 on ebay.  I have a huge collection of loose Star Wars and GI Joe and thought about selling them for gun cash, but was super discouraged after looking at some of the selling prices on ebay.  Instead, I gave them to my sons to play with and tear up.  Some of the original 20-30 year old toys I have were selling on ebay for what my parents bought them for in the late 70's and early 80's.

Stroll thru some antique stores in your area, you're bound to spot  more of these. I see these figures all the time when I go antiqueing, they would be worth more if they were still in the original packages. I would just visit some antique stores, talk with the dealers, there are also books on the market listing prices.

Swoop is the most valuable figure out of the dinobots, and his value has declined in the last year or two due to new production knock-offs being sold out of China.  That's also part of the reason why Devastator isn't worth as much as he used to be.  There's a really good knockoff of him in the box floating around for about $60.  KO's and the economy have helped to screw over the resale value of a lot of vintage figures.

Check what they are going for on Ebay. Look at items that have already sold. Book value means nothing, it is what people are willing to pay that matters.

Same here, decently large collection.  Picked up a complete Jetfire just a few months ago.  Traded computer work for a box full of vintage Transformers :)

This thread made me look through a box of action figures I have.

Apparently my rarest is a grey haired Ben Kenobi with vinyl cape, and light saber with tip.

I also have a Darth Vader with a vinyl cape and no light saber/tip.

Anybody have any idea what they're worth?
