What about handguns and concealed carry?

Well, in general to purchace a weapon you need to have a valid reason.

Ie; hunting, sporting use and so on.

This applies to pistols also. To accuire a large caliber pistol you generally have to shoot some IPSC type shoots, either plain old IPSC or 3 Gun Matches.

For me, i don´t find any fault in this since if a legimate inthusiast applies for a permit, he will get it with the proper papers.

Carrying concealed or not is forbidden, but the risk of having to defend yourself with a firearm is much lower here.
