I'd like to hear everyone's best movie lines. Mine is the Clint Eastwood movie "The Unforgiven" where he shoots one of Gene Hackman's buddies & Hackman tells him he just shot an unarmed man.
Eastwood replies, "Well, he should've armed hisself!"
And in Outlaw Josey Wales, he tells Chief Dan George that folks he likes don't stay around long. George replies, "I noticed that folks you don't like don't stay around long neither."
Anyone else?

I don't want to rain on your parade, but this topic has been done to death lately. Do a search.

I like the recurring "Best Movie Lines" theme. Here's some of my favorites from one movie:

Listen, strange women lyin' in ponds distributin' swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony!
Oh, but you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!

Oh but if I went 'round sayin' I was Emperor, just because some moistened bint lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

Help! Help! I'm being repressed! Come see the violence inherent in the system! Violence inherent in the system!

No problem, brother. Editing my initial message to remove all traces and references. It never happened. What is there to be sorry about? [:D]

I seriously dig your screenname, BTW. I read a book called "One Tough Marine" about 1st Sgt Donald Hamblen, a guy who had his left leg burned off from the knee down in a parachute accident, but went on to pass the PFT, requalify as a diver and parachutist with his prosthetic leg, then went to Vietnam and led a SOG team over the fence for 30 months. His indig team members had "sat cong" (kill communists) tattooed on their chests as a measure of their devotion to the cause, knowing it would most likely get them tortured to death if taken alive.

Jarhead,

My pop told me about the word "satcong" in 1973-4....I have never forgotten.

When I was a kid I wanted to be a door gunner.
