I may actually have a working computer at home soon. Returning to AOL, which I had years ago, is out of the question. Are there any good Pro-Second ISPs out there? (For-free or for-fee)

Get a local ISP.  You will be supporting your local business, and they don't really get involved one way or another.

Outdoors Unlimited was my ISP as they advertised in American Rifleman as giving 1% or whatever to the NRA. Only problem was they died on me JAN 1 & after a week I switched to Bell South. Dunno if they're back up or not. I did get rid of AT&T went to Marathon for long distance provider in & out of state. Again, they donate back to the NRA.
