on the DOJ site, exemptions to the gun lock law -- No.2 "The commerce of any firearm defined as an "antique firearm" pursuant to federal law." but what is an antique? a 50yo C&R or a 100yo non-gun? |

Antique firearms do not have to be transferred through a dealer in California, Neither do C&R rifles and shotguns that are more than 50 years olds. Antiques are those manufactured prior to 1898. California definitions for antique and C&R firearms are the same as the federal ones.
