My best friend lives on the Big Island and has been drooling over my descriptions of my STW .223 sound suppressor for my AR.

From what I read, Hawaii basically blows when it comes to NFA weapons/items and it seems nothing is allowed.  Is there any way (other than being an FFL) for a resident to own an NFA weapon/item?

Thanx,

Steve

Sorry, Steve, but your friend is sh*t out of luck on this one. Hawaii is a sad place to be. Can't wait to move to Arizona in a year or two.

That's correct. We sucks for NFA items and other stuff. As for mere law bidding residents of this state. We can not own any of the cool stuff like you guys in class 3 (aka free) states.

What other "cool stuff" can't you guys get other than hi-caps and class III items?  A related question, are hi-caps "grand fathered" ala Caliban laws?  Been thinking about moving to the Big Island in a couple of years...

We can own hi-caps mags legally here. The catch is that hi-cap mags can not go into a pistol or assualt pistols.
