If it is silica jell (looks like rock salt) I put mine in 240F oven for 3 hours.
Goldenrod only raises the temp slightly. The moisture is still in there. I still keep desiccant in with mine and recharge it every other month or so. I have a few moisture indicator cards in the safe too, to tell me when its time. |

nope
The lab I work in has been using the same desiccant for more than 20 years. We routinely bake it over night. |
