My gf got me to read the Twilight books and they were actually really fun to read, and some of the ideas in the book were very original and fun to think about it. I would recommend these books to readers of all ages. Anyone else read through these and liked them? it wasnt my taste but my fiancee sure as hell liked it and got into reading more. for that, i am glad she wrote the books. it gives my fiancee something to do- she has few hobbies so anything is good |

Edit: also there is two main characters a boy and a girl just like twilight. |

Got tricked into watching the movie this weekend.
The most mind numbingly bland movie I have ever watched. No chance that I'll be reading the books now. What was the deal with the dark circles under everyone's eyes? |

I've heard David Wellington wrote some vamp books i just havent had time to pick them up yet, he does great zombie books though so im pretty excited to see how his vamp shit is. |

From what I understand the "Vampires" In twilight don't sleep in coffins (don't sleep at all actually), don't drink the blood of humans and can walk around in the fucking daytime. They are not evil undead spawn of satan. They are like some liberal pussified version of vampires for little girls and teenageers.
A vampire is evil, turns to dust and/or explodes if it's outside in the daytime and only thirsts for the blood of human beings. This twilight crap with emo day walking vampires who are in touch with their feelings is bullshit of the highest order. |

The book is actually really anti-liberal one of the vamps was even in the continental army during the civil war, and the main character Edward admits to killing a bunch of criminals. I was telling my GF the same shit you just said then i read the books. |

I read the first one before I let my 12 year old daughter read it.
It was... eh. Teeny bopper crap. She, of course, has read the entire series. She is willing to admit the books were better than the movie, though, so I can't WAIT for that to show up on my Netflix queue. |
