I bought this G17 about a year ago and it's one of my fav pistols to shoot. I upgraded it to a ghost 3.5# trigger bar, extended mag release, extended slide stop, backstrap plug and Meprolight half rap sights.

It's a damn fine pistol to shoot and when I work the local gun store I have it on my hip with loaded 20rds of 147gr SXT

It shoots like a dream and works with any kind of 9mm ammo that I can give it. What more can you ask for a $500 gun

eeeh gaahd.....a big ole WTF on that rear sight

Aside from that I'm not a huge fan of Glock (it's an ergos thing, great gun otherwise and the trigger isn't bad stock) but I can appreciate their utility

Good-lookin' pistol but those sights...I don't think I'd find those useful.

I just don't like Glocks and would never own one. But hat sir is one fine looking pistol!

What I like about the sights is that it teaches you to concentrate on the front sight, everyone gives me flak about them until they shoot it. After a mag they understand and it normally improves their grouping.

Whats up with that rear site? Looks like it would snag on every shopping cart, child and small dog you would walk by.

17rd mag with a +2 = 19 +1 in chamber = 20

Nice contrast with the holster

It is good to start seeing some innovation in iron sights. A bud of mine has a full peep w tritium dots on his G22 and I gotta say, it rocks. Also that Troy diamond shaped rear sight for rifles makes a lot of sense. Those and the 3/2 circle on yours sets the post naturally in the center. It is reflexive. These new sights have to be just as fast as a regular sight and more accurate when you need to be.

I like it.

No.  Do you?

I owed a glock 19.  Why I bought it I do not know since the grip was terrible.  Maybe because it came with 4 15 round mags and 2 33 rounders.   I couldnt hit shit with it and sold it.  That was the only gun I've ever sold.

Plus the ticking it made started to speed up so I thought I better sell it before it blew up.

Cool, I've got nearly the same things on mine.  Extended magazine release, extended slide release, 3.5# connector, and regular tritium Meprolight sights.  I don't have the grip plug and I've got the black frame, though.

I'm telling you that they work great!

I was shooting steel at 15yds today with it and hit 99.9% of the time. I'm no perfect shooter but those sights work!

I don't understand.  Glocks are perfect.  It says so right there in the advertising.  Why would you modify something that was already perfect?  Are you implying that the trigger, sights, mag release, slide release and grip are not perfect?  [CosmoKramer]"Oh, yeah –– you're a rabid anti-Glockite!"[/CosmoKramer]

How big was the steel?

With a notch that big you could lose some precision that you might not want to give up. The Warrens are fast but you don't give much up in the precision realm with them. I'd have to try the Klingon sights there to know how that works out....

It takes some skill and practice to shoot a DAO trigger well.
