Just found a place with a stash of Q3131 winchester 5.56mm for $7 a box locally. I have older boxes of the same stuff with a $2.99 price tag on it oddly enough.
But in this market should I snatch it all up or what?

Nowadays, that's a good price.

It's $8.50 locally.

Might check the ammo forum had some lots with issues. 35 cents a round for m193 spec ammo isn't too bad now a days.

Sadly, its ok these days.
I'd buy it at those prices all day long....and its still more than twice what I used to pay just a few years ago, and that was for Q3131A before it completely disappeared. The Israeli stuff was excellent ammo....I'd love to get my hands on cases of that again.

I think they only have around 500 rounds, they bought it when it was cheap and are doubling their money easily now.
Actually I'm surprised they have it for $7 a box, the same place, a pawn shop, sells blazer bulk pack .22lr for $35 a brick.

That stuff goes for much more than $7 here.

Not too bad. XM193 is $14.99 a box here with 200 round bulk packs at $99.99.

I know its depressing but sooner or later it will go down. .50 BMG prices for .223?
People will just stop shooting. period. or stick to other cheap calibers.
then the manufacturers will catch up as demand goes down.
sooner or later it will go down basically because  even if there is a AWB it wont effect ammo.
The problem is Gun stores, lets face it for the most part they are low life weasels. Getting them to admit the "gold rush" is over and they should lower prices is gonna take a while.

Same here. I used to 10 boxes every week at Academy a few years ago. I would have bought more  and stashed it way if I had known then what I know now about the quality of the ammo, instead of just shooting it up with my friends. I've only got about 1/2 a case of each Q3131a and Q3131.
