So I was just thinking about this watching SNL- and Alec Baldwin is hosting. I think he's the most overrated actor that I can think of. Next I'd say Seth Rogan. He can't act, he's not smart, and he's ugly.  Last, and I think people are going to disagree with me here, but I think Will Ferrel is overrated too. I find all his characters to be one dimensional and annoying.

What about you guys?

EDIT: I took out Vin Deisel, he's not that horrible...

Lots of over rated ones.

But one I find to be way under rated is John Lithgow.

I forgot about Julia Roberts and you are right. I have a hard time even watching something she's in now. she's actually kinda ugly, and she can't act that well.

I suppose, but what has he really been in since the matrix? I think he's on the out and out. Especially after the 3rd movie bombed.

Nicolas Cage is my nemesis, except for Lord of War, but that basically makes up for Conair.  One of the worst accents ever in that movie.   Quit hating on Will,  he might not be every ones cup of tea, but he can play a bunch of different characters, just watch Eastbound and Down and Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, and Old School. Anyone that doesn't like Old School is no friend of mine.

I liked street kings. As long as they only cast reeves as the one character he plays well, he does fine.

As for the Matrix trilogy, well, I don't think it was ever really meant to be a trilogy.

They just threw a continuation together to make some money. The ending of Matrix 1 was all we needed. Neo could fly. We knew the machines were fucked.

I like Alec Baldwin as an actor. It's a human I dislike him as.  I'd punch him in the mouth in person after I shook his hand.

in fact, I completely disagree with the OP. Vin Diesel is awful with his gay lisp and fairy smile.

Seems to me that most actors that are widely known do their job pretty well.  Most are pretty good at choosing which roles to play that are within their limits.

You guys realized he's written and/or produced all of the movies he's been in the last few years right?  Part of the reason "they" keep putting him in movies is his movies make money.
