Just got back, the WM is 3 blocks away and I don't drink and I'm bored so sometimes I shoot on down to check cause they get they deliveries in around 9-10.

Tonight the manager is back there and says they got some 9mm on the pallet but they can't sell it between 10:00 and 7:00

Gotta work tomrrow at 8:30 so I'll leave a bit early. I might even talk to a few of the guys that work that dept who know me by face and have them call me on nights when they get 9 and .45 in and I'll buy them some beers.

In college we used to go to the local walmart at like two AM and wonder around. We would borrow those rascal scooter cart thingys and drive around.

I always do early morning runs (On Fridays cause thats when they stock ammo at my Wal-mart, not sure if it's the same everywhere). I hit em on the way to work.

I bought three bricks of .22 shorts today from the farmers co-op for $19.90 each brick.  That's all that they were going to have until June.

I just came from mine. They had a sign up "Due to nationwide shortages no 9mm,.38spc.,.357,.380,.22 value packs or 7.62x39 and we cannot order ammo for you."

What could possibly be FUN about being inside a Walmart ?
second question; Why would someone choose to live 3 blocks from a walmart store?

My wife came home from W*M earlier with an assortment (4 different loads) of 2.5" .410 shells for me to try in my new .410 AR tomorrow –– all I had on hand was 3", which the AR won't shoot.

I was shocked they had any at all right now, let alone 4 different 2.5" loads.

.410 AR

please elaborate.... Sounds like fun.

I do my ammo runs at 0500 when I get off work. Generally the stickers haven't unpacked any of it so I get to rummage through the pallets.

Went tonight, all they had was a box of 30.06 remington.

yeah, but it always takes 15 minutes to get someone back in sporting goods... then they need to get the MOD to get the key which takes another 20.   I loved it when the Fed .22 VPs and WWB 9mm VPs were out on the end caps.

Picked up a couple of Federal Champion .22 bricks today.

I was feeling generous and left four for the next guy.

My  local WM has a ton of Remington Golden Bullet bricks in stock.

May have to go back.

I don't go out late at night in this town. Population is 8000 and driving anywhere in town from midnight-2am will almost guarantee a tail by the cops or a pull over because they think you are DWI.

Slim pickins at my Wally World unless you need shotgun shells.  One box of 30 carbine and couple boxes of 44 magnum.  How depressing.

The Wal-Mart today appeared to have lots of 9mm Blazer, but no .223 this afternoon.

Used to make lots of late night Wally World runs at the one that was on the way home from work , but it re-located and is now too far out of the way to do that.

Yeap, similar here.  I walked past the SG dept the other day and the ammo shelves were bare except for 12 gauge target loads.

Naaaaa........too much trouble to wake up the ONE person that has the key at night, it's a lot easier(and quicker) during the day

I will make a late night run every now and then.  However I never do so unarmed :)  Our store will sell whenever.

All walmarts on my way back from work are completely out of centerfire pistol ammo, and $12.95/box .223

waste of time.

The way I look at it, when Walmart, the champions of US supply chain management, has a shortage of anything, there's a serious problem.

FUN?  I guess you don't recall the story of the attempted dis-arming of a certain poster?

OK.......so maybe FUN isn't the correct word for it.

FUN to shop at...........yes, count me in.  I'm always up for a good look around.

As for why would you want to live close to one..............yes, w/in three blocks is too close (even for my comfort level).

That being said, I'd rather live in a city with a Wal Mart than a city w/o one.

That's ME.

Aloha, Mark

Mine seems to have enough ammo to go around. Today I bought 500 rounds of Blazer Brass 9mm.
