Change topic to EDT.  We've been on DAYLIGHT time since the early part of March.  We're not on standard time again until November.

I'll always be amazed how they can fly (glide) that sucker home.  Welcome home!

Well, when you've got that much velocity going for you, you could probably glide a brick home.

Heard the booms here on the Space Coast (imagine that!)

Space Coast –– with the "Three Two One" area code.  I think that is cool

Yep.  It's the one thing Brevard County did right.

Anybody thats never seen a Shuttle launch in person needs to try and catch one before they're gone.  It rattles my windows and I live about 40 miles south of the Space Center.

Hell, any of the launches are a sight to see. Way back in the day (about 15-18 years ago), my grandfather still worked out at the Space Center, and got me and my grandmother into the "special seating" area for a Delta launch. I was a young'n then, about 10, but I think the announcer said that we were <5 miles away from the pad. That is an experience to be had.

I currently live ~10-20 miles (as the crow flies) from the launch pads.
