Ruger LCP's are getting easy to get + AR's and AK's
Got off the phone with a distributor and things are coming down fast and hard. Market corrections from over inflated prices. This is like musical chairs, I know some guys who do shows that have 50, 75 K tied up in "assault weapons" Something tells me there will be some very pissed off dealers soon. |
Ammo will probobly take longer, as everybody who bought AR's is going to want to get some range time in.
I sure hope so, I did see plenty of ARs and AKs at all of my gun shops locally...ammo is still tough to find (.223, .308, etc).
ya the local fun shop has racks of AR's and AK's stuffed to the gills. 2 or more guns to a slot.
I hope while I am at home on R&R I can add 2 more AR's to my collection. I really want a 6940 thought about gettin one of GB, but would rather find one FTF

So my "Honey, if I don't buy guns now I may never get the chance again" excuse won't work anymore?

I bought my AK from the local shop before I lost it in a boating accident for $325.00. Saw the same one for sale at the same store last month for $625.00, yesterday it was $499.00. Tell me that ain't as crazy as wall street....
I would say this is only partly true. ARs and AKs are still virtually non-existant at distributors, with huge backorder wait times. Dealers are buying from dealers to have stock.
The thing is, most people who wanted an AR or AK now have one. Panic buying has not subsided, in my experience. The real problem is ammunition... good luck seeing a big supply of that any time soon. |
Just went to a local fun shop at lunch today. They had 8 or 9 ARs on the rack which was 7 or 8 more than they have had since early November. They were all $400 more than they were then too, but they're out there.
Ammo was retardedly priced or nonexistant though. I saw a case of 1000 rounds of XM193 (with some suffix, I can't remember) for $650 |

Quoted: Quoted: Gander has a nice sale or were you serious? NS, the "nice sale" they had on Winchester 9mm JHP amo was $56/50. FUCK Gander Mountain. |

Ammo is still fucked but I exspect it will follow soon No I don't think ammo will, especially surplus type ammo. There are new price floors being set and surplus type ammo is not a guaranteed forever type of commodity. |

Maybe you're right ... an ARF vendor has had black windowed 30rd Pmags ($18) in stock for over 24 hours now!!

I've been able to purchase 3 guns in the past 6 months by invoking the words "Obama, "ban" , and "permanent" to my wife in the same sentence. |

I just heard Hillary and some "creamy" talking about how we need to re-acitivate the assault weapons ban to help Mexico. I am guessing this is another drop before the rise... |
LMT is still over 30wks to deliver. Colt is on a 1yr back order. Things are slowing because nobody can get anything. Many distributors don't have anything, like no M&Ps, no Glocks, etc.
The AWB worked so well here in the past, perhaps Hillary should push for an AWB in Mexico....

There's a ton of ARs and lowers at my local shop for the same price they were before the election

I think it's all who you're dealing with. I've scrounged every Wal-Mart within a 100 mile radius and am lucky to score any .223 ammo, and it's priced WAY too high. The REALLY local Fun Shops are whining that they can't get EBR's or ammo, but I can drive 60 miles up the coast to my regular Fun Shop and their walls and cases are full. AR's, AK,s, 50cal, everything.
They had at least 30 cases of XM193 @ $449 a case, and probably 40 cases of Speer Lawman (basically XM193) for 10 bucks a box (I don't know what the case price was). They literally had cases of ammo stacked around three walls of the shop in 9mm, .40, 45, 7.62, pretty much everything. Sometimes they run a little low, but they ALWAYS have at least a few cases, and they've always had a decent selection of EBR's. Prices are good, too. Most AR's are still under a Grand, so it's not like they have stock because they're ripping people off. The stuff's out there, you just have to find somebody willing to find and stock it. |
I called Lauer yesterday to order some lowers and they said their phones were ringing off the hook.
I talked to a distributor a couple of days ago and he said they were getting shipments of PMAGs every couple of days and were still backordered by about 100K mags. If you know of a distributor with some 9mm Glocks, let me know. |
I too can confirm. Ammo is starting to show up on the shelves of my local funstore and the wait for an LCP is down to 8 weeks from 16. Mine should be in no later than 2 weeks from now

Ammo will probobly take longer, as everybody who bought AR's is going to want to get some range time in. Minus the ones who bought to flip, "NIB". |
* initial wave of demand met
* manufacturing is catching up with demand? * access to credit is tightening. anyone get a call from their credit card company yanking lines or raising rates bigtime? |
So you guys think ammo will go down in price?
I don't think so. |
What the hell?
Good news? You mean we're all not going to die tomorrow? Is this GD? I'm waiting for summer to put my order in to CMMG, I figure that will help get you guys that are on the list what you ordered that much sooner. I'm not in a big hurry. Thanks for the update sir. |

Complete AR's and many lowers in stock at my local shop. Things are definitely slowing.

If it slows enough maybe I'll receive the LRT-SASS ordered in May. ...better not to hope.
