Still working.. still OT. Pay freeze for the next four months to avoid any future problems. Looking hopeful thus far though.

After a career coming to an end, followed by three years of on again, off again employment, I'm now working regularly. I make about 1/5 of what I used to, but I guess it's something. The sun is shining, the birds are singing, and yesterday I stopped and smelled a rose.

I've been laid off for several months. I ran out of unemployment last month and I'm not physically able to look for work because I recently had surgery. I'm supposed to be taking a ton of medication that my insurance doesn't cover and I can't afford outright. It's hard. It's very hard on us right now. Sleeping is my favorite thing to do just to forget that this is my life.

I've been living off Ramen noodles for about five months and we've cut everything in our budget that isn't a necessity (I'm using my neighbor's wireless with their permission). I've sold almost everything of value that I have, but we're still barely scraping by. I'm probably going to be selling my 1 ct. engagement ring/wedding band, but just the thought of that buckles my knees and leaves me a sobbing mess. I've never been in this place before. Yes, I've had hard times, but going to bed hungry and taking cold showers because our gas is off isn't really something I ever anticipated ... especially when I'm sick as hell already. Even with all that happening though ... at least I'm alive and I have a roof over my head. I can't complain too much.

I just wish my luck could turn around before it kills me.

Should add school to that list.  A lot of younger people on here too.

I chose "self-employed, no work".

By profession, I'm a self employed Oil and Gas landman. The collapse in oil prices has caused work to dry up for me.

I currently work at a retail store making less money in a week than I made in a day as a landman.

Thanks, you anti-capitalist meddlers. Burn in hell.

Employed and doing well. OT is just about non existant. Company has a few spare employees and is looking for reasons to fire folks.
