this brings up an interesting question. with the exception of australia, how come the southern hemisphere seems so fucked up (aka: isn't as prosperous as the north)? does it have something to do with geography as jarod diamond suggests?

It has to do with the capability, or more specifically the lack of, of those who populate it. It is the result of the gross IQ and even more the effective IQ of those below the equator. Edit: just read some from Jarod Diamond, he has some good points but really drops the ball in his conclusions about Africa. |

It's not so much the Southern Hemisphere, but the land masses located in it that are the problem. Most land masses that are crossed by the equator have too many third-world shit holes. I fully believe that the Equatorial area in general is to blame. Maybe they get too much sun? Maybe the gravitational forces are a bit more magnified there and mess with the brain? The bottom line is that if a people were smart enough, they would have migrated away from the equator a LONG time ago. |
