This story has been around at least 2 seasons now. PETA, no matter how naive they are on some(most) matters, didn't put orange vest on any deer, let alone 400+.
There is no phone listing for "Guys Outdoors" anywhere in Ohio, let alone the Akron area, nor any listing for Guy Lockey. The story can't be confirmed on the Associated press website either.
In short, it didn't happen. This belongs alongside the "rocket car" and the Hitler gun control quote tales. We shouldn't look foolish by repeating these things.(But I really wish it WAS true[:D]

Well it's a hell of a good story either way, and very credible.  I never even questioned it.

You've been hit by, you've been struck by, a smooth criminal.

Yeah, someone pushed this story pretty hard last year, a buddy of mine in Montana called and asked me to check it out. Same story, details, names, locations as this year, a buddy with the ODNR did some checking too, same result.

Cool story, big lie
