I'm still using the wife's Palm 3xe, waiting on prices to drop (or pocket PC's to come down enough). I just got finished putting a bunch of addresses into the address book on the desktop. I go to Hot Sync and it locks up part way through. It seems do it on different programs (iSilo Manual was the last one) as displayed on the Palm's Screen. Can't find the manual now, and the on screen help is no help. It still hasn't dumped the address book into the Palm (I guess it gets hung up before it gets to that).

Any suggestions?

I have a few programs in there--ePocrates RX and ID, MedCalc, Mnemonics, iSilo that seemed to install correctly and run correctly when I first installed them (and still do run correctly).

This is what to us techincal types is a 50/50-90 problem.

There's a 50/50 chance that the problem is in the Palm software or the Windows' PC software. There is a 90% chance that which ever you chose to reload the problem is in the other half.

I would try reloading the PC side of the Palm's sync software first as it nomally comes off the web or a CD that you've got laying around. I use the Jordna (HP's Palm-like device) and sometimes have to delete the sub-directories (in the pocket PC) clearing out all my email - normally when I get a few hundred messages crammed into the thing.

Maybe try downloading the latest Palm Desktop software from their website.
