Hello All,

Today was the first time in a long time that I was able to fit a gunshow into my time schedule.  I must say just one thing:  IT SUCKED!  I thought that I would have liked it a bit more than I did, but I walked away empty handed on purpose, and much sooner than I had originally intended.

After viewing all of the "Things that piss you off about gun shows" threads I realize that I saw ALL of the people that piss you off there...  People who bring children in strollers, people who stock strollers with guns because their fat asses cannot haul the rusty guns they drooled over...  GI's who forget that they're no longer on active duty (yet still play dress-up in BDU's), that is IF they ever even WERE in the military...  There were also the 11 year old obese children following daddy around and marking up all the brand new 1911A1's with their cotton-candy sticky rat claws (More on this story later).  Screaming Daddy, This is like the one you don't let me shoot (while he's pointing it right at me!)...

The one thing I did enjoy about this gunshow were the prices they had on AR15 magazines, and the pseudo-carnival food.  We (My liberal ex-girlfriend who accompanied me for the sole purpose of viewing a different culture) bought some nacho-cheese french-fries (after going over the every table), and ate them while watching people buying guns, ammo, gawking, smudging (my term for people fondling with dirty/sticky hands), and pointing guns at each other without having the common decency of watching where their guns are pointed...

Then after we finished our fries, we began walking toward the door.  A man 10 feet away picks up a 12 ga over/under and POINTS it RIGHT at my ex-girlfriend's HEAD, and begins TRACKING her MOVEMENT!  What the F*CK are these people thinking!?  [b][i]I'm going to kill that squaking duckie that looks like a hot-blonde college girl?[/i][/b]  Honestly!  I shot that f*cker my evil "I'm going to kick your ass within 5 seconds" look and left quickly before the dumb f*cker loaded a shell & shot someone.

Call me a hypocrite, but I guess I'll stick with the gunshops where I'm a valued customer and known on a first name basis.  Besides, the pricing deals were not that great at all either!  I can get better prices by talking things over with my dealer friends.  I bring in about $1,000.00 in range/rental money to my local dealer here in the metro area in one year, and they respect me for that.  They also like how I recommend them to new members for buying their first firearms through these FFLs.

Perhaps my standards are a bit high, since I almost never buy used guns, or I don't like the idea of kettle corn stains on a beautiful new blued steel, or I can't stand seeing some little 13 year old funking up (cotton candy in one hand, tons more on his face, and a lot in his "gun handling" hand) the finish on a 90% 1911A1 DATED AT 1917!!!  I'm sure that I wasn't alone in my hatred of these little kids, as the last one described recieved quite the bitching from the stand manager, but it just would have been nicer had his father told him not to touch!  It's like the painful feeling you get when you see a man get kicked in his yarballs!  Youch!  A 1917 Dated 1911A1 getting a COTTON CANDY finger F*cking!
