I just bought a Norinco M14s and it's such a fun gun to shoot.  Just wonder if anyone had put substantial amount of ammos through one of these guns yet.  Heard that the bolts in these guns are quite soft and won't last too long.  Just wannt to hear some first hand expereince.thanks

I would buy a Norinco just for the receiver.  The rest of the gun is OK for plinking.  With a little work, the forged Norinco receiver is one of the best, non-GI receivers ever made.

I have had mine for five years, and have put over 1000 rounds through it. It is one of my most accurate iron sight rifles I have.
Good Shooting

I had one that I had to sell about six months ago.  I needed the cash at the time for another project.  I still wish I hadn't sold it.  It was very accurate and fun to shoot.

I bought one from a member here for around 500 dollars.  I've shot it once and it performed very nicely.

I've seen a few, but I have only watched one at the range.
The weapon will hit clays at 200 meters. The First shot was low, the shooter corrected, after that he consistantly broke clays with one shot.

Be very nice with optics..

7) Was it me that you bought your gun from? I sold one to a member here about 7 months ago, but I diddn't get thier screen name.

I liked my gun, and I regret selling it. All that talk about soft bolts is just that so far as i've seen. Talk. I have yet to hear one guy come out and say " I BLEW UP MY GUN!" or "MY GUN WENT OUT OF HEADSPACE AFTER (So many) ROUNDS!"

It was cool, and you can get the blt heat-treated without having to go the Fulton route-Milling your reciever to accept a USGI bolt.

Damn I regret selling that thing. My local gun shop has a Poly and 3 mags for $700.00. It's been there for like 2 years (Small town)- Maybe I'll try to swap him something for it. Hmmmmmmmmmmm......
