I'm just curious as to how many weapons you folks own and how old you are. Is the number of weapons a person owns directly proportional to their age?? You dont necessarily have to name each of your weapons (you know, in case an ATF a**hole is reading). For the record, I am 27 and own 2 rifles(3 if you count the AR on layaway) and 2 handguns.

PRE-BAN: Twenty-five AK-type weapons; Eleven AR-types (8 Colts and 3 Bushmasters; Three SA FN-FALs in .308;

POST BAN: One SA FN-FAL-type in .223 (SAR-4800)
with USA parts confguration (only way I'd have it)!

And I only own TWO handguns!

BTW, I'm 48, and I bought my first AR-15 in Shreveport in 1972 for the unbelievable sum of $395.00. Of course, I was only making $1.60 an hour back then, so do the math.

I know one guy in his 60's. He has a whole walk in gun room. He has so many, most in original boxes, that he forgets what he has. But he does have some gems I would love to get my hands on. I would say he has close to 500.

I have sold more than I own. I feel I have a good job as far as income goes. I probably spend 25% of my annual salery on shooting related equipment. It's pretty much my life. Hey, some people spend $$$thousands$$$ on a new car. I just got back a $4,200 income tax refund, every dollar went towards firearms.

Being un-married and child-less helps. I doubt I'd be able to do it if I had others to take care of.

Well a high of about 45 at one time, started selling them off three years ago to build a car.
got down to about 15, all good ones, car is rebuilt (55 Belair) ready for paint. now the collection is back on its way up. AR's Garands, FAL's, Colt .45's, I'm 38, have yet to hit the midlife crisis.

Man I'm feeling very inadequate about the number of guns I own, but after i graduate and get a real job I should be able to remedy the situation. On my list to buy are:
Barret .50 cal
Taurus Raging Bull in 454 casull
fully automatic, authentic HK MP5
Couple more AR's w/ at least one being full auto
SKS
AK
FAL

Makita circular saw.
Hitachi sliding compound miter saw.
Porter-Cable jig saw.
POS made in taiwan table saw.
Milwaulkee Sawzall.
An assortment of hole saws that go in my Milwaukee Magnum Hole Shooter drill.
An assortment of handsaws.

Oh yeah, and I have some guns and knives too...

Once when I was at the local gun store the owner told me a good rule of thumb was one gun for each year of your age. I'm 33 and I still need 8 more guns to catch up. The only problem is it seems like the years are passing too fast for me to ever get any closer. So if anyone has any old preban ARs, AKs or maybe a FAL they don't want any more, just send them to me to help me out. Thanks! [:)]

I am 35 and before I sold them all at a gunshow I had a Remington .22 bolt action, a lever action model 1894 in 30-30, A Taurus .38/357 (actually my wife's), Two GLocks, one 9mm and .45, and the grandiose is a Colt lightweight. I am buldin an AR15. I would like to get an M1 and Side by side 12 gauge shotgon.

My weapons are too numerous to mention but I always carry a 2LB hammer and a 15" adjustable wrench. The 3 foot section of pitchfork handle is for knocking the mud off my mud-flaps. The 4 ft steel pry bar with the pointed end is useful for aligning pin holes. And I occasionally carry a chainsaw.
