Very interesting read!

Most of the facts included are also in the book, The Black Rifle.

Wonder about his statements about the effectiveness of 5.56 though.

I believe the early AR had a slower 1 in 14 twist causing even the 55gr. bullet to tumble violently at longer ranges. Hence the catastrophic tissue damage. If I remember correctly that is [:)]

I just watched a story of the M16 on the History channel the other night.  Very interesting.  I recorded it and I think I will watch it again tonight.
