Yeah, but luckily the rib is high enough that breathing deeply isn't too bad.
You are lucky in that case.
I have done it on a few occasions. Two ribs on my right side when I was a teenager. Hurt like hell, but I did a mission trip anyways, and worked my ass off.
Second time was cracked ribs on my left side, it hurt, but not nearly as bad. My other injuries at that time made it seem not very bad.
Third time was my left side while playing football on the beach. Hurt like hell, but decided to keep playing, and aggravated it even more. Ended up with injuries to my front left, and back left. That was hell. Hurt to breathe, hurt to walk, hurt to sleep (and I couldn't find any comfortable position). Basically everything hurt, and it seemed like forever for me to get better. Even now, years later, the spot on the ribs were I got injured is still tender when touched.
