I have a P6 that feeds, extracts and ejects reliably but tends to throw the brass right at my face.

It was made in '82.  I was using WWB ammo.

Is that a weak mainspring, bad ejector or what?

I tried the Sig forum but no luck so far.

Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Extractor spring might need some adjusting.

Seriously is there any other way to shoot besides the *G* Stance?

Exactly. It's how I shoot when I'm doing a barrel roll over a couch while firing at the bad guy in mid-air.

The SIG P6 is made for the NATO 9mm –– which is a pretty hot 124 gr load. If you're using "target" loads, instead of combat or +p ammo, your SIG will barely have enough slide velocity to extract the empty shell.

My Sig P228 is the most reliable handgun I've ever had but using shitty, low speed target ammo get the empties to bounce off my forehead. I say put some hot rounds through it, if that doesnt work, try something else.

My P225 doesn't do that. Might be the main spring.

Recoil spring or shot extractor.

Has anyone else experienced this specific problem with a P6/P225?

Get rid of it and get yourself a glock.

Problem, solved!

It's prolly springs. Did you change them out when you got this USED gun?

Remove the extractor and clean out the gunk underneath and in the spring channel. You will wonder how the thing ever worked with all that crap in there.
