I have a couple of them. the original mounting hardware and design stinks. too sloppy and hangs way down below the rifle. I modified this launcher by adding cover panels to the sides to make it look more like the M203 and redid the hardware and launcher to mount it about 1" closer. also smoothed the triggergaurd into the rear of the rec for a cleaner look. I also have another new one and will probably do the same to it.

Et cetera was selling them last month in Shotgun News for $144.00.  I really thought about buying one then.  Instead I got another lower.

KBPERF-

Looks like you have that on a carbine, but it does look sweet.

Thanks, yes its on a M4gery but fits on a 20in rifle well also.
I am planning to sell this launcher in the pic and build another one that mounts about 1/2" closer than the present one. animalmother, I can elaborate, its a PAIN in the ARSE! you have to do lots of machining to get to where that one is at. also the removal of excess weight is a plus.

The launcher has very very limited utility.  It weighs a ton, and the only way to keep it from coming off all the time is to tac-weld the sucker on.  The ammo is outrageously priced ($70 for 10 rnds) and only produces a small OOO AAAHHH effect.

I would rather spend the money getting an M203 and get it registered.  The 40mm ammo is much cooler, but even more expensive. ($15 a round)

They can be entertaining. The ammo is expensive. The rounds use black powder (stinky and messy). You can't use your C-mag at the same time (now that would look cool).

not so, My new mounts I make are very solid. my launcher doesnt come off and it weighs no more than the real M203 and it costs about $1500 less with no paperwork. you can load your own shells for BIG OOOOHHHHAAAAHHHH effect.

My intention if I ever get around to buying one of these is to make my own shells.  There won't be any OOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH effect.  It will be more like.........

[size=6] OH MY GOD!!! WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT??!!!

We've never had them that low.  Although we are looking into getting a better suplier so we can drop the cost.  We do have bird bomb, smoke, and flare 37mm rounds.  http://www.fire-balls.com

Does anybody have a PIC of the Bushmaster launcher unmodified on an AR?

Do the M203 handguards not work with it?

This is a 20" Hbar. The launcher fits just fine. It didn't come with the sight. There are long & short handguards and long & short launcher tubes.
