From the cited article:
Gunmakers openly acknowledge their effort to cultivate a youth market, because even though to buy a firearm from a federally licensed gun dealer the buyer must be 21 years old for a handgun, and 18 years old for a rifle or shotgun, weapons can be bought for children by adults with limited federal age restrictions.

Does anyone know what age limits are restricted by federal laws for possession of weapons, handguns, etc?

I have no idea what the federalis say, but in Virginia you have to 16 for long guns and 18 for handguns.

anyway to turn their own argument around and use it against them:  "for the children"?

i'll teach my children (when i have some) all about guns because i know the facts.  but even if there were some major schisms in america revolving around this issue, i would still do the same thing.  involvment in a child's life is the best thing a parent can do to prevent that child from straying down the path of "bad things".  it is far from a guarantee, but it is also better than sending him/her out to the local b-ball court everyday to fend for himself.

the family that shoots together, stays together.

i'm definitely doing it for the children.  so that they can all grow up with some pride in themselves, their country, and their history.

Typical liberal BULLSHIT.
I almost have to laugh at our Antigun friends. Damn right we want kids to learn how to shoot.
We also so want to teach them to be responsible adults. The kind of people who work and try and make our country a better place. The young people who will serve our nation and defend our way of life. And I mean defend our way of life from enemies who would want to change how we live and take away our freedom.
We are facing those enemies right now. At home and abroad.
The Antigunners are worthless cowards.

Dam, here we go again another attempt to regulate how we raise our children. I have two sons, my fourteen year old has and knows how to shoot his own gun and my 10 month old will learn as soon as he puts down his baby bottle.

Yeah right I can see it now I'm at work late some a_ _ hole decides to come in my house and take my goodies and my sons not know how to defend their home ? "yeah right"

Power to the gun owners and trainers of their kids. It's morals or lack thereof that make a person or child go off the deep end with or without gun knowledge.

Just another example of the media repeating verbatim what it is handed by the gun-control organizations.  They don't even bother to re-write them, just present them as unbiased editorials.

You'll note they never say the "gun-control organization The Violence Policy Center in a report issued today...", but they always say things like "The gun industry and its NRA pitchmen".  No sir, no bias there.

I'd like to have a few face-to-face words with this system-lacky Langley person! In the words of Bruce Campbell, "BY GOD, LET'S GIVE 'EM WHAT FOR!" [;D]

~~~~~
I got into guns in my early teens in the early '90s. I'm 21 now - a high screwl and college grad with an Associate's Degree in graphic design. I graduated high screwl in '98 and I remember the anti-gun climate back then. I weep for the children of this miserable age [>(]. I got in trouble constantly because I read Guns & Ammo (a tame zine if you ask me) during lunch and study hall. I resisted the authority of the politically-correct totalitarian system-lackies who called themselves "teachers." I was the monkey wrench in their machine.
One time, when I was either a Sophomore or Junior, my English teacher (a pacifist Menonite) had us do a project on gun control. Of course, being an advocate of order and oppression, she fixed the project a certain way so we'd have to agree with her. An naturally, being a destroyer of order and an advocate of freedom, I opposed.
She gave us pamphlets to read that contained 10 articles on guns. 9 out of those 10 were anti and only one was pro. She had the pro one X'ed out and told us not to read it. So I did anyway. Of course, she didn't like the direction I went with my project, much to my delight. Opposing the forces of order and corruption was (and will always be) more important to me than good grades.
Another time, I got called down to the office because someone got it into their head that I had a shortened M-79 grenade launcher in my bag!
All throughout screwl, I got picked on because I was short and weird and just plain different from everyone else. Add to that my affinity for firearms, 1st person video games, and heavy metal music, and you have what the State claims is a psychological disaster waiting to happen. Yet here I am today and I've never ever murdered or harmed anyone! I can't even bring myself to spank my dogs! I'm like Jar Jar. "Meesa haten crunchy!" But even the peaceful Jar Jar fights when he has to.
It doesn't matter to "they." All that matters to them is whether or not you fit the psychological profile of a sociopath - something that has a loose definition to begin with. These people are feeding the problem and exploiting the isolation of troubled teens at the same time they persecute us and say we're to blame. A person is responsible for their own decisions.
~~~~~

We're this era's despised scapegoats - outcasts because we see the truth in a world that prefers lies. It's time to RISE!

~~~~~
In brevity, I think Pantera says it best...
All of us
One of us
All of us
Dominate
And take the mother****ing world!
Mass prediction
Unification
Breathing life into our lungs
Every creed and every kind
To give us depth for strength!
 All I can sya is, when you deal with a horse's ass, you get horseshit.
 Lil' Ops learned to handle firearms when he was 4.  He received his first marksmanship award in a postal match when he was 5.  By age 6 he was handling a M4gery from the bench.  He is ready for the next shoot, he is ready for the Browning 1919 by himself.
 He is a 3.5 student, athletic, responsible, and well-mannered, as well as a 'man among men' even at this age.  Firearms taught him discipline, concentration, and that you don't always hit the X ring.
 I wonder what the 'writer' of this POS has for kids...
Its hard to fathom the level of ignorance that would promulgate such rubbish. I will teach my kids how to run, jump, climb, dive, use fire, electricity, knives, how to swim, drive motor vehicles, fly airplanes, and many other "dangerous" things that man has invented to enhance his life and freedom. I will also teach them the safe and responsible use of the machines that have produced that freedom- guns. Not to do so would be irresponsible and foolish.
It's psychological civil war!
[%(]
*Resist! *Rebel! *Revolt!
Sic Semper Tyrannus
(and all that sort of thing)
~~~~~

I don't know about you guys but I'm sick of watching THEY get away with their lies. Working within the System doesn't work because money is created by the enemy in the first place. THEY have things fixed so that what THEY say goes - regardless of the needs of the people. Yet THEY've conditioned the people to believe that THEY know what's best for them.

How can we shatter their oligarchy? It controls the collective mind of society. If only people would flat out quick thinking and feeling collectively and start acting like individuals...but then, if people did that, there'd be no mobocracy (and no THEY) to begin with.

How did THEY gain their hegemony in the first place? Why do normal people buy into their shitheel propaganda?

Democracy? Fascism? Socialism? ...what's the difference if people can't be themselves anyway? What good is any system if it works against the people instead of for them? Propaganda is propaganda. Tyranny is tyranny. If it's all the same, what's left to do but wage war on the world (in a psychological sense, of course)?!

THEY're making me f***ing hostile! [:(!]
