Ok here's the preview I promised... again keep the following in mind...

1) I wanted to simplify the design for a speed increase.

2) I wanted to cut down on the graphics in order to allow the modem users a better and quicker load and response.

3) I wanted to make everything available to you and at your fingertips to allow for ease of use!

4) I had nothing better to do than spend time on a wasted design... oh no wait, this one's a joke!!! (I told ya, I actually ENJOY doing the designs... so it's no big deal... I'm actually glad you guys liked the other design since it was a bit radical compared to this and the "PREBAN" site.)

Ok I will throw up a poll and await your comments. I'll start ripping this up and slapping it together tomorrow evening.

I don't care which one is used, when I first saw the one being used now I hated it, now a few days later, I'm used to it already, just keep the side slide bar the way it is now not black on black like a few days ago

I like ! I like ! As far as text color goes white would be ok, but I am partial to the yellow that you used before.

I also want to take this time to say, "Good Job, Goatboy!" We appreciate all the work you do for us. =)

Ok I'm off to bed, keep the feedback coming, and yes I realize its shrunk and somewhat hard to see, but you get the general idea...

The buttons will all be in the same locations as will the login boxes, etc. I want to keep things as simple and clean for the future so you guys ALWAYS have what you need in front of you at all times.

(The top line of text I left off cause I was in a hurry, same with the center content, but it will look nice!)

I'll check up on this tomorrow and start work on it tomorrow night...

Ok, I FULLY understand this point (because I'm a dial-upper myself) But, [size=4] PLEASE, OH PLEASE GOATBOY [/size=4] put at least a smaller version of the "Never Forget" banner back on the homepage!

Anything that speeds it up for those of us with no option other than dialup, well I am all for that. Beyond that, as long as it stays the same old AR15.com we all know and love, it don't really make me no never mind. (Take that english teachers, one day I hope to produce one 5K word run-on sentence, neener, neener!)

Hey those buttons look kewl... send em to me so I can shrink the rifle a bit and I will add them in!

There actually is a slight bug which is causing pages to occasinaly render more slowly... stupid code... but that will be replaced shortly anyhow and will definitely increase rendering for some of you... and fix the few NS issues some guys have had.

The WTC Banner will be back in a different form, I just need to get time to finish it... along with a number of other things! (It was too big and the new tribute will be smaller to keep with speed issues.

It's Ok. But can you remove the Top Glock ad ? I find it "offensive". However a AK47.Net Ad with a link would be acceptable...

I am sorry, but I like the green monster.

I know that black is the prefered for the black rifle, but the green/white is much easier on my eyes.

Since this is an RFC (request for comments), I would recommend that the text be black on light gray.

I looked quickly on the web for the study of colors that are considered easiest to read on web sites, but I couldn't find the exact study. If I remember correctly, they found that black proportional serf fonts (10-12 point pitch) on a [i]textured[/i] white to light gray background resulted in less eye strain. ([i]Serf fonts are the ones with the decorative strokes at the end of a letters main strokes. Sans Serf Fonts, don't.

I don't really care one way or another. I liked the old look but it seemed a tad dated. This scheme is kind of cool, and the new-new look is sort of transitional dated yet modern looking.
