I just heard on the news we have a jury verdict on a local high-profile case.  One Jason Copeland was "babysitting" his own bastard son and decided to shake the 18 month old child to death.  Two hours ago he was found innocent of first degree murder, innocent of manslaughter, and guilty of "reckless conduct."  This is a misdemeanor that carries a maximum 364 day sentence, so he has been released for time served.  Susan Smith should have done her deed in Illinois.  This is Decatur, Illinois that, years ago, was mentioned on the Phil Donahue Show as the place to commit murder if you want to get away with it.  I guess it still is true.  [pissed]
