Today at the gunshow here in Reno I talked to a dealer that I had previously bought some lowers from and he was selling stripped lowers for $350 out the door. These werent special billet lowers or anything like that just some RRA lowers and a Spikes.  He said that he couldn't get any more and this was the last that he had for up to 9 months.  Is this bull shit or is what he is telling me true?  Also while I was standing there there were two people asking for paperwork to start buying some of the lowers that he had.  What the fuck is going on? Does any one know if Spikes has any lowers in stock because I may just have to order a one or two on Monday.

Thanks

I wouldn't pay over $250 for a regular lower with the LPK.

A buddy of mine in Idaho said the out the door price at his local gun shop was 150 for an RRA stripped lower.

+1, anything over about 150 is sheer foolishness IMHO.

Sabre Defence told me today no more lowers after I pick up my batch for 10 months and no rifles for 12 months.

I bought two CMMG lowers at $150 each at their new candy store in Columbia, MO. I compared them to $115 shipped from AIM + $20 transfer fee and figured I was only taking a $15 hit on each one of them (OK, maybe $25 with tax). Given the fact that it will probably be quite a while before AIM actually has them, I figured why the hell not?

Picked up a CMMG for $120 OTD last weekend at the local fun show here.

There's another show this weekend - should be interesting to see what prices are now, and if that dealer has any of his stock left. He had said that he stocked up on stripped lowers last month in anticipation of increased sales, and is figuring that even his increased stock isn't going to last him through to December.

The dealer was honest with you. DPMS was 70K rifles behind on tuesday(estimated 8-9 month lead time). RRA wouldn't even give a number and said the lead time was "indefinite".....they actually tried to talk my dealer out of ordering from them!!

With those kind of numbers in back log, I'd hope they running the machines 24/7

Tried to get to that table to get a couple, cleaned him out at the last Summit show.  Table was 3-4 people deep every time i went by, never did get to him.  Did get a half case of Wolf 62gr for $125 from some guy walking around though.

Hehe, the was for the price posted by the OP for lowers.  Don't worry Shoot, I have been buying PLENTY of mags, LPK's, uppers, ammo, etc. online, all being socked away back home while I'm overseas..

I think the  , is in reference to the current price on stripped lowers...

I got a couple of those Stag's as well, and a couple of Spikes for around $120 IIRC.

Of course, this was last year

Why produce more? Obama will just punish them for success by stealing more of their money. MFGs flooding the system will only end up badly for them.

I quit buying lowers last year. I couldn't take it anymore.

I found out there is no such thing as a "spare" lower. They have all magically grown into to complete rifles.

I just bought 3... total of 252.00

they won't be here for a few months... but I can wait.

Nothing like lookin' them SOB's in the face while smirkin', shakin' your head, and then walkin' away.  They know they are screwin' people over.

If I were in the AR15 business like RRA, Bushmaster, etc, I'd have the production crews be working madatory overtime and having receivers and complete rifles being made as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality.  I'd make sure our products were as available as can be and I'd stockpile for if and when a new AWB ever came down... but for now...  fuck those dealers.

... and fuck Obama.
