Russian nesting dolls fit into each other and usually have a theme.

These are Soviet Leaders.  Included are a Nagant revolver, Tokerev and a Makarov next to their appropriate leaders in time.



Here you see how they "nest".



They are hand painted and usually have something interesting about them.  The hidden items with these are on the back.

Gorbachev



On the back he has a dove of peace.



Breshnev



On the back are nuke clouds and stars.



Kruschev



On the back he is holding a knife.



Stalin



On his back is an axe dripping with blood



Lenin



On his back is the Soviet Hammer and Sickle and Red Star
