I finally pick up a quality AR15 (LMT lower, BCM Middy Upper, LaRue BUIS, PMAGS, etc), and I keep thinking of trading it for a precision rifle.

I finally pick up a high capacity pistol (Glock 34), and I keep thinking of trading it for a 1911 of some sort.

What's wrong with me?

You're not a homosexual, and this is your straight side trying to urge you to stop going against nature. (the abomination called polymer)

Nothing wrong with that. I sold my P220 that I've owned since 2000 and bought my first 1911. I get to take it home tomorrow, and I'm taking it to the indoor range on Saturday.

Don't sell anything. You'll kick yourself later for it. Save up the money and buy another.

Nothing is wrong with you.

Actually, it is quite common around here - always want something you don't have.

When it gets interesting is when you go ahead and sell what you already have to purchase what you do not have, and then, within 30 days or so, experience full fledged remorse for having sold what you previously had, thus making you want to go and buy one of THOSE again, too.

That's when you know your BRD is terminal.

Welcome to the club.

Just buy more.

Don't sell!!!!! Just save up!!!!!!!!. I have sold one gun in my life and I regret the crap out of it. It was only a Remington 1100 but I still miss that shotgun so much. I will never get it back and if I buy another one it will be much more expensive now than it was than (2002).

My advice is to hang on to high capacity guns and and save for more high capacity guns. Lower capacity guns will still be around IF any ban comes around. My two cents.
