Say they do go 1994 on us- now put yourself in the shoes of an 18 year old kid with say 1,000 bucks and an Firearms Purchaser ID Card- who missed the chance to buy anything cool before the ban. Now that all the "evil black rifles" have been permabanned, what is the next best choice for a SHTF/Zombie Gun?

I'm interested to see the one-liners and images some of you jokers are going to come up with

Oh and in before the Nerf gun pics

Anything you post will just be added to the ban list by the Brady Campaign/DU TROLLS which trawl this site.

Therefore, over and under 12 gauge shotgun.

You need an FID in New Jersey to purchase a long gun, or get a pistol purchase permit, I figured under Obama "common sense laws" like that would be nationwide.

Semi-seriously, I'm thinking about painting an AR to be an Obama Election Commemorative.  Put a picture of The One on the stock, along with a quote or two, like these:

"I believe the Second Amendment means something. . . . There is an individual right to bear arms."

"The bottom line is this: If you've got a rifle, you've got a shotgun, you've got a gun in your house, I'm not taking it away."

Don't forget to include his kind eyes and confident smile to inspire us all.

[future] H&R Single Shot 20 gauge. 12 gauge is a military round and is thus discontinued from private sale to civilians. Be careful, it needs to be locked in a safe separate from ammunition if you aren't transporting it to the range or hunting. You only get to have one box of five birdshot or slug shells, because buckshot doesn't fit the "sporting purposes" clause. Each box will be $20.00 due to the federally mandated microstamping tax added to each round.

Forget a sling or butt cuff, they are named features that make a weapon more efficient at killing babies and the unloved. [/future]

Assume anything with a detachable box magazine will be verbotten. Look for a tube fed pump or lever action rifle. .357 for pistol calibers. Maybe a .30-30 for more serious apps?
A pump shotgun with no extended mag.... You get the idea.
