no this is wrong. 1911s are high parts count, complicated machines, require hand fitting and by reputation slightly finicky.

Glocks and AKS are low parts count, simple designs, ultra reliable, don't need cleaning, last a long time. etc.

Glocks are the AKS of handguns. 1911's are the diametric opposite of Glocks.

not saying they are worse but I'd actually compare ARs to 1911s. higher maintenance, more finicky, more accurate etc.
