Just another form of superstition.

I'm a believer and once you understand how it works, you stop messing with people.  I've seen people who messed with me get some real good payback (and not from me either).  A b*tch of a boss was forced out of her job and an arse hole subordinate who couldn't put the dagger into me enough times cracked up and resigned.

I believe in this:

Once during World War II, some German SS men had rounded up some Jews in occupied Poland, and were about to murder them.

The Germans did not tell the Jews they were about to die, but the Jews could pretty much know what was coming.  They were forced to dig a trench that would serve as their own mass grave.  Then they were forced to remove their clothing, so the Germans could recycle the material and claim anything else of value from it.

One old Jewish man, a Rabbi, was defiant to the Germans.  He spoke German, and just before he and his fellow victims were about to die, he pointed an accusing finger at the SS man in charge of the death squad, and he gave him a warning.

"God is watching everything you do!" said the old Rabbi.

And then, the Jews were all killed, without any remorse from the killers.

A young German SS man recorded this in his diary, and it was found after the war - the war in which Germany was ultimately destroyed by the armies of the free world.

I guess I don't know if you would call that "Karma" per se, but I REALLY DO believe God sees all, and God remembers.

I think the wheels of God's justice turn very slowly, but they turn with a terrible certainty, and the wicked should take note of that.

Yeah....thats not really karma.  Thats called "overwhelming superiority by a much bigger coalition of forces in war"....

Not as a supernatural force, but I do find that, in general, people who are assholes tend to get treated worse than people who are nice and polite. Which is just a product of human psychology; why be nice to the people who are dicks to you?

My luck with women leads me to believe that I was Jack the Ripper in a previous life.

Seriously, I don't really know.  Sometimes I like to hope that Fate and Karma are real.  Other times, I don't think any of that shit is real.

Realistically? No. I don't believe in any Mythologies, be it Karma, Luck, or God. Karma involves re-incarnation, which I also don't believe in for obvious reasons.

However, it would be nice if it were true.

By Karma, do you mean "getting what one deserves?"

Over the long run, this tends to be true.  Actions have reactions.

I choose to believe in karma because it means I can be an asshole and assume people deserve it.

I clicked yes, but not in the sense that you mean I don't think.

What I do believe in, is that, "You reap what you sow". Same difference really.

and yes, I do.

The day I got fired from my job, my boss's boyfriend broke up with her and threatened to toss her shit out of the house they were sharing if she didn't hurry and pick it up. She sped home during her lunch break, and got a speeding ticket.

No.  There is no unseen force that punishes you for doing bad and rewards you for doing good, no matter how much people want to believe in it.  The world is a random place with no fate, no karma, and no "big picture".
