Newest winner, Mr "Fisher" of Tennessee:

Williamson Co sheriff deputy stops yesterday to check a car sitting beside road as "probable stolen". Man walks up and offers to 'get the registration' from glovebox, then jumps in and speeds away..with deputy in hot pursuit!  Leads LEOs on hi-speed chase thru suburban neighborhoods, incl some yards, and finally rams LEO car and tries to get away. Finally jumps out [carrying long pkg], and disappears into Little Harpeth River bottoms in Brentwood. The guy eludes LEO dogs and choppers for two hours and escapes.  

Hour later: an off-duty Brentwood TN LEO is standing at cash register of Brentwood Kroger store, (buying donuts?[sleep])and sees a man who is standing at another nearby cash register in Kroger..using the phone to call a cab. LEO is on the ball then [8D]and thinks man fits the description of the escapee: Early 30's young man standing there with WET pants and a muddy jacket:D. LEO arrests man, and finds the "long package" leaning up against the building outside the Kroger store's front door..inside of which he finds the perp's.. FISHING POLES.LOL

So was it the same guy? who does the award go to the cop for getting the wrong guy or the perp for being a typical perp.
Who`s Mr. Fisher? is that a real name?

Further news today..the guy had several outstanding warrants in Nashville, incl for auto theft, and was driving w revoked license..wh I guess is why he tried to run from LEOs. But..stopping to FISH and leaving the stolen car sitting along a busy road..what a dummy!

Lehigh PA man accidently amputated his hand w a power saw, then to "kill the pain", aparently shot himself in the head with a nail gun 12 times. He was listed in fair cond at a local hospital:D No word on whether they tried to reattach the hand.

Maybe he thought that if`n the coppers seent him, maybe them thunk hima fishen stead of krimnal actifitity.
