If you mean to say that Powell endorsing Obama is not happening, you're wrong. By the time I posted my comment, he was already addressing the press and explaining how the McCain campaign was saying that Obama was a Muslim and a terrorist, and that Obama was not a socialist but had "dared" to examine the tax structure and how taxes are needed to build roads. Powell is now firmly in the asshat category. |

Well, what do you expect? For the past 3 decades, we have had black separatism shoved down our throats thru diversity training, multiculturalism, affirmative action, and any other means you can imagine. While America has finally become tolerant and inclusive, mainstream black culture, more than at any other time, has generally become self-separating from mainstream American culture. So JC Watts, Colin Powell, and everyone else has been trained to identify themselves with a particular race and to groupthink accordingly. The humorous part is that Colin Powell is about as "black" as Britney Spears.
The most surprising thing about moving from the Army to the civilian world is how race-conscious the civvy world is. Yes, in the Army we had EO shove racial identity crap down our throats from time to time, but the vast majority of people saw themselves as Army Green first. Nobody i worked with cared about race/religion/etc. so long as you accomplished the mission and took care of your soldiers. The civilian world however fell all over itself to hire and retain incompetent people just to help their diversity stats. Sickening. |
