i owed taxes 3 times.... even up to 1k.
want to know whats sad. me , my wife, just married made 45k combined. for the next 4 years we owed NO matter how we filed. Untill 2 years ago when my kid was born and my wife out of work did we finally get any returns aout o fthe 2+k they took out each year in taxes! yip,two folks making less than 28k a year (back then) owing taxes! we paid ours monthly, and budgeted to do so. If ole joe, while i like what he says has been holding out per say instead of paying, his debt shouldnt be paid off by others imho! ymmv |

Joe wasn't afraid to stand up and ask a question, what he delivered to us was a revelation from the commie's own mouth. And Joe? He got fucked for it... hard. Proper fucked. The right thing to do is to tell Joe we appreciate it. $2 "tip" from a few people, or $4 to "have a beer on me" from a few people... Joe and his family are out of the woods. And instead of Joe wanting to suckstart a shotgun for his terrible mistake of ruining his life by asking a question... He can instead thank God for giving him the balls to do the right thing that day, because it all turned out alright. Good Americans speak softly, but carry big sticks. Let's not forget what Joe did, and at what cost. |

See, there's a difference between socialism and charity. The difference is free-will. Anyone with money can choose to do what they damn well please with it, including paying off a plumber's debt. Socialism is forced charity, which is also known as stealing. Charity, freely acted upon, may be naive and counter-productive anyways, but at least it's voluntary. |

Did not matter what we did we even sent our stuff out and still do yearly to a trusted family accountant/tax person and even they said we were screwed. How,why? never knew, filed married 0, owed, single married owed, married single rates owed. Either way my point is there is many Americans that work hard that are in the same boat as "joe" and they pay their debt. I know the importance of a what has gone down with "joe" and Obama but if he was slacking off not paying then why should anyone foot the bill for him. It's ironic though becuase its exactly what he was complaining about! Get a $ from me for sticking to da man,sure. To pay back what he owes wont happen! YMMV |

If he'd "stood up and asked a question" that had embarassed McCain, or put McCain on the spot, everyone on ARFcom would have been cheering each misfortune that had befallen poor Joe, and would have been shrieking in rage when ultra-liberal activists stepped in to save him from his rightful fate. And it isn't even like Joe's question damaged Obama. There are enough people in this country who nod their heads in agreement when hearing that "the rich" ought to be taxed "just a little more" to "give hard-working middle-class Americans a break". Even though it's all a pack of lies. In the grand scheme of things, "Joe the plumber" was an enormous nothing. Nobody's mind was changed. Everyone who thought Obama's answer was proof of his Marxist beliefs wasn't going to vote for him anyway, and everyone who approved was going to. Frankly, the more I see people desperately latching on to any perceived "hit" against Obama, the more it looks like he's going to win. I'd like to see hom go down in roaring flames, but the fact is, most Americans simply don't care about Bill Ayers and the Weathermen. They want to hear a sweet lullabye about how their lives are going to be made better, preferably at the expense of "the rich" who have been greedily profiting off of their declining home values. And boy, can Obama ever crron that tune. |
