I am buying the last three handguns I am going to buy in this god forsaken state. I am getting 1- Glock 19 2- not sure 3- not sure The only handgun I curretly own is a Beretta 92FS. Any thoughts on what the other two should be? |

I HATE Glocks, and even I am thinking about a Glock 19
it's in the water. |

and a 1911 of your preferred flavor. |

NJ has a 15rd mag limit therefore the G17 is a moot point. I like G19, 1911 and USP45.
|
|
1 - Springfield 1911-A1 TRP or similar
2 - Variable on taste: S&W 686, Glock 19 or CZ75 3 - Ruger MkII |
|
SIG P226 Glock 19 S&W J-Frame of some sort. |
|
|
Springfield 1911
Polymer .45 acp (glock springfield m&p taurus tac 24/7) and either a 9 or 40. |

I want a 1911, but everything I have read as well as been told say they are not reliable out of the box. Even good mid range ones. |

Someone is blowing smoke up your ass. |

This. Glocks are like the girl next door, maybe not always the prettiest, but reliable, always there, always working. 1911s are like high maintenance super-models, nice to look at, but need lots of enhancements to look good, not the most reliable. |

I can't believe all of the MP followers. Here was my response when picking one up.
- oh the trigger is kinda curved, ok - wow, the trigger changed shape- meh - wtf the take up was quick - when is it going to break - sights go bezerk...... break |

Where do you people come from I wonder?? I have two Sigs, an XD45, a 92FS, and a 1911. Out of all of them, the 1911 is the one I carry every day and the only problem it's ever had was with the magazines that came with it, replaced them and it's been an absolutely reliable tack driver that's never seen a gunsmith. Now if you end up with a Gen 1 GSR or something, you're gonna have problems, but there are plenty of 1911s out there that are perfect NIB. |

Too many people watching the the Outdoor Channel. Smith and Wesson, with the help of G&A TV, push the hell out of that pistol. BTW....I had the same impression with the trigger. |
