What "if" we lost our 2nd Admendment by the stroke of the Executive Powers pen, forever what reason. Would you support the decision to turn over your guns or "WHAT" ?

I think the real issue is, what do the ATF agents that monitor these boards do with the replies to these sort of questions?

Any poster here, of course, would not support any further 2nd Amend. restrictions.

I don't believe that it would be lawful or legal. I firmly believe that if such a thing could be done with an executive order, Clinton would have done it.

I'm pretty sure (I'm sure some constitutional scholar would know better) we'd be O.K. because of the 10th amendment (state's rights), however, if you live in an un-friendly state, you're screwed for sure.

Well since my family includes myself and my wife, she would have the option to fight or give up. She is about as much a patriot as myself so I don't really see her surrendering w/o a fight. She gets it honest since her mom has an AK-47 and an SKS.

It is one of my FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS as an American. The only reason the government would do that would be to form a dictatorship. Which would then make them an illigitimate government. It would be a very nasty war.

GUNS ??????? What are those ???? Dont need no stinkin guns ! they are evil !! I have my trusty whistle, pepper spray, and silver cross to protect me. Also have autographed pics of Rosie and Geroldo to place at the entrance of my property to scare away the BG's

Probably shoot every politician I could, then construct hundreds of 5 gallon buckets of Ammonium Nitrate/Fuel Oil bombs and set them off at strategic locations.

i honostly belive about 90% of people would turn em in rather than fight.

also it wont happen that way it will be years of slowly wearing own the population and edumacating the kiddies that guns are eeeviil

I would hope that some Historian would point out that this is EXACTLY what Hitler had done in Germany to make Germany a safer place. The only problem for the German Jews and other less desirables (according to Hitler) was that this made it easy for his SS to kill whole populations.

I will destroy my guns by tying huge blocks of concrete to them and drop them into the deepest lake I can find before I give them to the government.

Then if the government ever decided the wanted to rewrite the bill of rights and the consittution those destroyed guns will be brougt to bear to defend my country!

My country is defined by the Constituton and the bill of rights. I will fight to defend these rights against an internal enemy just the same as I would go to Afganistan to fight our external enemies if needed!

what you suggest could only happen under an un-lawfully constituted government, and we would be under no obligation to obey it's illegal laws.
in fact, it could reasonably be said that it would be our duty as americans to restore the constitution and legitimate government.
