Here it is again..
The M4gery was originally built in 1992. I built one as soon as an M4 barrel was available. Bushmaster started making some back in 1991, because of their Government contract. Have stuck with the Bushamster because I like the 1/9 twist in a short barrel. The rifle has been upgraded as other parts became available.
The 6551 will be upgraded with a Colt's 1/7 government barrel, and a proper (round) carrier. Got lucky on this one in that it was already drilled for the front pivot pin detent/spring hole.

Here are some more pics. This is the M4 with a M9 bayonet mounted. This was done by using a 14.5" barrel, a GI flash, a half inch spacer, and a extra barrel nut. The spacer gives you the legal length, and the barrel nut gives the bayonet a surface to contact with out rattling around on the barrel.

Here is a pic of my favorite rifle. It is a AR-10A4. I have sold the barrel assembly off of it and will mount a custom barrel and free float it using this ArmaLite AR-10T tube. Will be going with a med-weight stainless steel 20" barrel, just the ticket for white tails and coyotes. Oh, it shoots farther and hits harder..hehe
