No kidding. I called about how much it would cost to shorten a barrel to SBS length. I said I had the proper paperwork and tax stamp. [The company is located in a state that allows all NFA items].

He says: "We provide services to hunters around here, not murderers."

I mentioned the purpose of the Second Amendment, the legality of self-defense, suggested he read Scalia's Heller opinion, and ended the call.

In my opinion, I can understand your reasons for not wanting to name the company.

I can also understand why everyone wants to know the name of the company as well.

If it happened to me, I would probably call again to talk to a supervisor.

For them not to do work on an NFA is understandable, but for them to call you a murderer is DEFAMATION.

If the company's policy matches up to what the customer service rep said the first time, I think it would be acceptable to come clean on the company.

I sure would not want to give that company any of my hard earned dollars. Just to spite those bastards, I would probably get the barrel cut down and mail a picture to them.

Do what you think is right. BTW, I'm so glad it's not Mossberg or I would be pissed.

On One hand...having the company rep/owner/whoever insinuate that you (and by extension, ANYONE) who owns an SBR/SBS is a murderer is DEFINITLY worthy of being outed, and Zumbo'ed by the membership....

HOWEVER..with the shit going on right now with the Lawsuit by a certain supressor manufacturer against an ARFcommer..i cant say I blame him for NOT naming names...at least until the suit is settled one way or another..
