I've made the decision to get some silencers for 3 of my guns when I get back from deployement.  My H&K .45, my AR-15, and my Ruger 22 Mk II.

I've been looking at information on several websites for a little while now and I like what I see at Gem-Tech and AAC, but I was wondering about other companies and quality. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Don't buy an AAC.  If you don't like it, they'll sue you for having an opinion.

I have a Gemtec Outback II, and love it.  I use it primarily on my P22, but need to get my Buckmark barrel threaded.

I have two YHM's and a 3rd on the way.  They work great and are a usually less expensive.

My 22lr is SWR and it is fantastic as well.

I just bought a AACM4 2000 and while I dont agree with their lawsuit shit I think that they are quality and its what the dealer had in stock.

Id get greeno's checkmate .22lr can. It looks pretty slick and is cheap too!

I have two cans on the way (YHM and SWR); I can say that the AAC lawsuit thread definitely turned me off from their products.  Nice PR, AAC.

Ya because a lawsuit that doesn't involve you is a reason not to get the best suppressor on the market ....

Get an AAC m4-2000

Heller Vs DC did not "involve" me either.  Why should I care?

Fuck AAC.

I have 3 cans. Personally I won't buy an AAC because I don't like their attitude / business practices.

Check out his .45 can. That is scary quiet wet. Sound on video is different but it sure did sound quieter than my .22 mite

what do folks think about the gemtech halo?
Link Posted: 9/4/2008 8:08:43 AM EDT
[#20]
Gemtech Outback-II for .22LR
Gemtech Halo for 5.56....the collar works on any mil-spec A2 flash hider.

The other Gemtech 5.56 cans are great, but you will spend more on the can itself and even more on the adapters to use on multiple weapons.  The Halo you can take from an AR15 to a HK416 to a Sig556 to a Galil to a.......   It's awesome.

I have used both of these and they are great supressors.

I also have a MP5SD made by Vector, it's great.  I can fire it in the indoor range with no ears.

My two cents....FWIW.

Best ?  AAC will always have a few sales, mostly because of like-minded guys just like you.

I'm not an AAC fanboi by any means...but I have to go with 2005 on this.

Which suppressor on the market does as well as the M4-2000?

Not trolling...I really want to know, as a 5.56mm can is my next purchase.

It's going on one of your Stealth uppers, BTW.

To answer the OP, SWR is the best company to deal with overall. I'm crossing my fingers that they put out a can as top shelf as the M4-2000 so I can deal with them instead.

You'll not find better CS than SWR...Gemtech is right on their heels.

H&K .45: AAC Evolution 45
AR-15: AAC M4-2000
Ruger 22 Mk II: SWR Spectre

All IMHO, of course.
