Sooooo.. 31/2 years ago the city of Seaside Oregon BANNED gun shows in the city. This despite the fact that shows had been held there by Rose city gun collectors (contact Ken Glass)for 11 years. Oh well, thats the rules right? WRONG! I organized a boycott (it went international! was I shocked),Thousands of liberty loving people responded all across America and overseas.Are you tired seeing gun owners being put down (and out)? Here's the secret to not getting your mag auction kicked off eBay: Just say this is a 10 round mag in your ad, put the measurements in there and a picture. Most people who know anything about these mags will know what they are buying. eBay is general is a patsy to the Anti-Gunners (in my opinion), but it is their rules, you just have to find a way around them. I just glad they allow any gun-related items at all. They used to sell lowers on there, until some idiot informed them the lower part of an AR15 is a firearm. doh!

While the others are correct that E-bay has a right to set it's own policy, you are also correct in your view that a boycott is the way to get them to change their minds.  They sell "adult oriented" material that cannot be shipped to some states/areas (not that I would know about anything like that!!), and mags are legal in most states.

A boycott would be a good idea, and it would also be a good idea for anyone participating in the boycott to contact e-bay and explain (very civily, of course) why they are boycotting.  It might even be a good time to do a boycott, as a lot of the .com's are in trouble now, and it might scare them.  

I will contact them myself about participating in the boycott.

Thanks beer, just got a note from a guy in Florida telling me about the 2 yr. old boycott. I never heard of it! I've been a buyer on e-bay for about 1 1/2 yrs.NO MORE! I know boycotts work (This one is just a bigger gorilla than the last!). Haven't been doin gun stuff on the net much (am a newbie here), and never do these boards. A friend (and someone most of you know, OSI) turned me on to this site. Been watching, and see maturity (for the most part) and GOOD humor. I aint a cry baby, I'm a 53 yr. old 'Nam vet, 100% PTSD. I been around the block a time or two,(Sinai too!),just like some of you guys.

Hey new guy, don't piss off the people you are seeking help from.

First you show up and assume we will all bandwagon your cause.

Second you lecture us on principles and laws.

Then when asked for clarification or your "usage" you get bent. BTW, we already knew about the Bill of Rights and Natural Law.

Then you start calling people fucking sheep. I think rather than finding support you may actually get boycotted yourself.

Personally I'm not boycotting ebay for two reasons.

1. I make my living on ebay.
2. It's fucking stupid. That's right up there with boycotting gunbroker because you can't sell beany babies there. And really it's even dumber than that because ebay lets you sell gun shit there, just not ALL gun shit. Get it? It is dumb.

Since you're all gung ho lets make a stand here's what you should do.

1.Boycott every grocery store and food maker that is anti-gun.
2.Boycott every gas station that is anti-gun
3.Dont' watch any anti gun TV stations and don't use any anti gun ISP's.
4. Never vote for a Republican or a Democrap again, both are clearly anti gun.
5. Don't ever work for an anti gun company.
6. Don't use any services owned by anti gunners.(ie; phone, elcetricity etc.)
7. Have fun sitting next to your campfire drinking creek water.

This is really old news - Ebay has been like this for a few years now.  Why do you think Auctionarms.com, etc. sprung up?

But instead of realizing that this ebay policy dates back to when Clinton was president, you get all bent out of shape, start multiple threads, and post in ALL CAPS with lots of exclaimation points!!!!!!!!
