I don't know what those fools on national tv are talking about.  I just heard on cnn how we we're supposed to be going through such an awful storm in minnesota and other midwestern states....well I live in minneapolis and there's like 2 inches of snow on the ground.  It's a lot less than normal years...traffic isn't even slowed down much.

My sister lives in St. Paul.......needless to say she get's snowed in every single year.  Last year was bad but they're saying this year will be worst!  How can 2 feet of snow be all that bad?

I dunno, I like it.

Edit: and I suggest that if anyone doesn't like it they probably shouldn't be living in minnesota [;)]

That's what I'm saying!  I'd love the time off work or working from home during the snowstorms!  My sister loves the cold, she even married a SWEDE!!!

So what was that white stuff falling out of the sky when I was working in Sweetwater a few years ago? Were you out scratching your scalp in a windstorm or something?

Those mountains in the background are awesome!  Makes me want to climb!  As soon as the roads are open enough here (in the passes), I'm going to find me another mountain to conquer.

Happy Snowboarding Hunter223.

as far as texas goes i was in boot camp at lackland afb from sept-mid october in 1989. it went from 100 degrees with 100% humidity in september to snowing in mid october. we were doing pt in the mornings with winter bdu's,field jackets, gloves, and our rain jackets on because it was so cold. the wierdest wheather i had ever seen. then after boot camp i went to tech school in illinios for some more snow.i tell you what marching to school with combat boots on in the snow and ice sure was a fun expierience. i think i got an extra crack in my behind from falling a few times. it was all fun though.
