Sugar has calories.  Beer has calories.

I don't see that your comparison is worth much, except for the idea that perhaps small doses of alcohol can be beneficial to the circulatory system.

Beer most certainly has sugars, this is what gives beer "body."

Beer is just wheat, water, and enzymes. Versus processed fake sugar and unnameable chemicals, I'd say a good beer beats out soda in health and taste.

Beer is far superior...because it's BEER.

There is sugar in beer.
I think in moderation beer would be better for you than regular soda though as it does help with blood flow. Excess beer though is tough on the liver which has to break it down.

Beer has lots of glucose which is sugar, I'm thinking it's still healthier than soda though.

There is sugar in beer, maltose and glucose.

I'd say beer, in moderation, is healthier and a lot more satisfying.

Beer is much healthier. I never got a sugar high or crash from beer. And it improves my marksmanship.

It's also a good source of riboflavin. But if exposed to light, the riboflavin helps catalyze a reaction that breaks down the isohomolones into a thiol that's very similar to skunk scent. So keep the beer in the dark

No, much healthier. It won't rot your teeth like soda will. That's a big money saver.

Also, if you're drinking light beer, consider 65 calories a can to 150 a can for soda.  And no matter what anyone says, I can't believe asapartame or whatever the hell it is, is good for you.
