guess who!!! his last name starts with O and rhymes with bama. a turd as predicted. i like how the media said hes here for the troops yet he didnt want to talk to any of us and when they tried to take a picture with the Marines that escorted him thru the city, he was whining saying "ok ok i think one should be good enough."
of course the news will say how he was here supporting us and all that hoop lah. i cant believe i just said hoop lah. ETA: yaaaa my computer decided to post this twice. |
I'm sorry. I can't think of anything more disrespectful to you guys.
Did they hand hime the It-only-looks-like-real-armor-airsoft-armor-and-helmet?
+ 1 billionty. |
What was the talk like though with your buddies. Are most of them against him or did you here some who were actually excited that he was there. |
Was anyone there happy to see him? Did he just walk by or speak with Generals or anything like that?
How well is he being received by the troops in your outfit? I imagine most probably aren't overly fond of him.
no one i talked to wanted to meet him haha. most were just excited to be doing security for someone thats kinda popular. im in ramadi. |
Are you on a PSD/Jump team? What sort of team/detail traveled with him? |
im on a mobile team but i was on a different mission at the time. all my buddies are on the PSD that was with him. along with the secret service guys decked out like rambo. just in case the Marines couldnt handle it i guess. |
hate to hear that, but yeah I figured he wasn't there for the troops, only there to further himself.
obviously this isn't true. the news showed us Obama yesterday being applauded by all the troops and then he made a 3 pointer in front of them as they cheered him on. the troops support obama, duh!
I couild give a shit if someone blows his ass up but is it good a idea to dicuss even in broad strokes his PSD?
Don't want anyone to get into trouble |
I could get the same info watching TV and picking out the security guys, but I'm lazy. |
He's not in any danger, Muqtada al-Sadr has probably made sure Obama will be safe in Iraq |
my friend asked me "you know why hes really here?"....."for the family reunion!"
Being an apostate, I'm suprised one of the locals didn't try to seperate his head from the rest of his body. |

yeah, get the details off this open forum...Hajji frequents it too....
I wouldn't worry about opsec. It is pretty well covered.
Media Covers Media Coverage of Obama's Iraq Trip |
I remember back when Clinton was CIC...He stopped at Naval Base Norfolk (1995 IIRC) for a visit...we were briefed that regardless of our opinion of him we weren't allowed to "Boo" him because his is the CIC (Respect the rank not the individual). Did the troops in Iraq get a similar briefing? |
Ramadi?
Did they make him fill sand bags to get into the chowhall? I bet Ramadi doesn't do that anymore. |
You give him too much credit to recognize that he walks on ground protected by America's Finest. |
I hope they didn't because he isn't CIC yet. |
I've been in on bullshit like that a bunch. The forst time was LBJ in Berlin. Then McNamara in SE/Asia, then Carter in Korea. I actually had to restrain a guy to keep him from taking a pot shot at McNamara's helo. The press will report what they want, you won't have any say.
The sad thing with all of them is that the Martinets and Bootlickers will come out of the officer ranks no matter what. |
He's still a "Honorable" Member of Congress. |
That is debatable. |
I'm pretty sure UCMJ or rules/regs covers showing proper respect to elected officials. Like a Senator.IIRC, Booing would get you in deep shit. |
We escorted ex-Senator Chuck Robb when he came to Camp Fallujah. We had a lot of briefings because it was a delicate situation. |
Shouldve fragged him while you guys had the chance, blame it on the kids. |
