I searched for people in my area that I KNOW have criminal records and nothing came up
Well I searched for somebody with a felony conviction that I know of... and its not there.
Yep, traffic ticket from several years ago (Failure to carry insurance verification). It didn't have any other traffic violations I've had.
I also looked up some people I know to have a record and it came back with several of them. |
My cousin who has a felony not on there, my headlight out ticket is
And that's the rub of sites like this, a false sense of security. Hey, he came back clean... well yeah, but maybe the database is incomplete. We just proved it is woefully incomplete. Traffic violations show and felonies do not.
I do but only 3 times for traffic stuff. None of my other family memebers who SHOULD have similar thing show up. Why is that?
Yup, Just found my brother.... |
Yup. A guy that used to work at my company that had sex with a minor and got convicted is definitely on there.
If I wanna look up felons, I just go straight to the source:
Ohio Dept. of Rehabilitation and Corrections |
I dont show up (because I'm clean), but a few of my friends/people i know do.... couple small time drug offenses.
It was the age groups and % that I looked at. Old farts don't do much crime.
Worthless site----looked up five of the worst shitbags I've ever sent away..............none were on there.
If you live in PA, Here is a site run by the PA courts which is public.
Because of my job, I use the secure version of this site when I'm at the office but this one works just as well, minus Soc. Sec. numbers and such. ETA: I was not listed on the site, which I'm not surprised of but my name is somewhat common so others with my name are listed. |
Thief, Thief, Thief. |
Here's a guy I used to supervise. After hitting his MIN in PA, we paroled him after OH accepted his case. With about a year to go on his parole, he committed another sex offense. We went out to OH to pick him up so the Judge could revoke his parole, then we brought him right back to your fair state. The Judge made his parole revocation CONSECUTIVE to the sentence he's serving in OH! |
I just ran several names through that site (Traffic tickets,DUI, Felony Assault)...non showed up.....the data base is lacking. |
For the most part it is, nothing on me shows up, and I have had a few traffic tickets. But, it shows my mom, and a DUI for my uncle from 1978. It also shows a few felony convictions from kids I went to HS with. I'm not sure where they are getting their info, is it possible that it won't show people who have requested their info not be posted all over the place, ie "lifelock" customers?
who knows, still cool. Mike |
Not perfect, but still fun to flip through.
And yes, I show up for a traffic ticket in '05. |
Traffic tickets that went away for traffic school in 2001 are on there BUT NO mention of the Registered sex offender I searched for....
EXPIRED REGISTRATION CARD/TAG.
DISMISSAL WITHOUT LEAVE BY DA. I'm a hard core criminal. |
some of my friends that i knew had records showed up.
and XGF and all of her traffic violations showed up showed it to a friend, and a brother didnt show up, but an Xbf did. its hit or miss. |
Nope I'm good to go. Funny thing is my mom is on there for multiple thefts I never knew about until my dad told me 3 weeks ago (I'm 19 now). I was always curious why she got so mad when I said criminals such as thieves should get alot more jail time
BTW i'm also going to college for Criminal Investigation/Forensic Science |
3 Dylan Porter's. 2 with traffic charges, and one unspecified. None with my birthdate though.
this one is pretty hit or miss, like every online criminal database.
what this one has going for it is that it gives more detailed info for free than most other sites i've seen. |
Holy shit, I found a ton of dirt on my annoying nieghbors across the street!
Searching for "Adolf Hitler" and "Jesus Christ" return some interesting results
I tried everyone I know who has been convicted of something and got no results. Not even for one who I know served prison time. That site sucks big time.
Ran a search on a serial killer from my hometown. He killed at least 6 people in UT & ID, was ultimately found guilty for a particularly heinous murder in ID. IIRC, charges included murder, kidnapping, robbery, rape, and "an infamous crime against nature."
He's not in the database - arguably one of the higher profile death row inmates in the state. My uncle, however, is on there for some boating violation a couple years go. No problems with this database, nosirree. |
My tickets were in there.
HOwever, my convictions for being a gigalo are missing!! |
I searched for every criminal I know of and none of them came back. You're better off going to your local LEO website and do a search.
Seems pretty hit or miss. It shows my one traffic violation, but not serious crimes that people I know have committed.
Someone who has already done it... try closing your browser, clearing cache, cookies, etc...
Then open your browser back up, go back to the site, and look up the same exact people you looked up the first time. See what it does. |
I'm an underachiever i guess, only one insurance and one speeding. My brother however
I tried some of the people i know who are felons and they didnt show up. but then again, neither did britney spears
very inaccurate, convicted sex offender from our county is not even showing up and he is serving 10 years right now.
I am going to say partial fail.
Doesn't find everything and the state website has much more info on it. Oh, and all the crimes + punishment, not just a few. |
